LionHeart governance
LionHeart is an Independent Charity (No 261245) and a Company Limited by Guarantee (No 980025).
We are governed by a passionate and committed board of trustees made up mainly of RICS members. Trustees meet quarterly to ensure that the charity is making a difference to the people we support and spending its funds appropriately.
Our trustees are unpaid, and play a vital role in helping LionHeart shape its services.
The board of trustees is chaired by Philippa Sampson-Bancroft.

Philippa has worked in housing, development and regeneration throughout her public sector career, qualifying as a Planning and Development surveyor in 2016 and achieving FRICS in 2024.

She said: "I'm honoured to take on the role of chair of the LionHeart board; we have a great team of trustees who are committed to stewarding the charity and ensuring that we continue to support surveyors and their families in times of need.
"I'm particularly pleased to be taking the helm in our 125th anniversary year, with all eyes on the development of our new strategy. It is a great time to be part of LionHeart's story."
